Quick Post - NYC

The hubs and I had a quick getaway to New York City over the weekend.  Since Philadelphia is about 2 hours away it's fun to go up and visit the Big Apple from time to time.  We seem to aways go in the winter and I'm not sure why.  It was freezing!  You may have seen some snaps on Instagram, but I wanted to share some of my favorites here.

Arrived and ready to hit the town.  My Hunters and welly socks really came in handy!  My new hat was stylish and super warm for the freezing temps!

Central Park.  We stayed at the Essex house, Central Park South.  It was a great location and the hotel was lovely.

The Plaza Food Hall.  A wonderful place to have lunch or grab some afternoon tea/coffee and get warm from the freezing cold!

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know I love lobster.  These from Luke's in the Plaza Food Hall are so yummy and hard core.  Just a teeny bit of mayo and lobster - nothin' better!

The 9/11 site.  It's been six years since I have visited.  It still brings tears, but it's now a beautiful memorial to the lives lost that day.  I couldn't help but wonder as we walked around, "who here lost a loved one?"  As I walked I prayed.

Getting a vanilla late in the Village after doing a little shopping.

We took the High Line back (part of the way) to the hotel.  It's a fabulous way to see the city and the walkway is beautiful.  Even though it was cold, it was so beautiful with the snow falling.

Bundled up for the day.  It was darn tootin cold.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and stayed warm.  Thank you for visiting, have a great Monday!
