Lulu's Life - Organized

A few years ago I was reading a devotional about a hard working woman sharing her not so perfect life.  She is a big executive at a marketing firm who looked like she had it all.  But underneath she had a lot of hardships and imperfections.  At the beginning of the book she says a lot of people often ask her how she does it all?  Her answer: you can have it all, just not at the same time.  How true is that?  I feel like the more I take on, the less I'm able to give my best.

To try to do my best, I find being organized is key.  I'm not talking crazy organized with lots of stickies everywhere, but organized to make my life easier!  Another tip?  Ask for help!  My husband is a life saver.  He is ready to help whenever he can.  I'm also teaching my kiddos to help out.

Today I'm sharing a little way that I stay organized, how my nuggets help out, and are learning to be responsible... all in one!  It's a little thing, but every week day and morning, it makes a big difference.   Each week I prepare my kids lunch on Saturday (except the sandwich).   I buy healthy (mostly organic) snacks, freeze dried fruit, and sweets, that I break into snack bags.  I divide them into baskets for the grabbing each night before school.  Jack and Ella grab 2 snacks, a fruit, and a sweet to put into their lunch bag.  My job?  Make the sandwich.  It's teaching my kids to choose healthy options and they are responsible to "make" part of their lunch.  They also love helping me fill the snack baggies with the goodies on Saturday too - bonus!

Jack & Ella's favorite freeze dried fruits & snacks:

Storage baskets and bins to help you organized your pantry!

How do you stay organized? Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

  1. That's also a very good suggestion for people who don't have kids, like me! And I agree with the executive and you, having it all yes, but not at the same time... and I feel like that as well, the more I take at work, the less I can do outside it... but trying! The snacks are great, very healthy! The moment I saw them I thought of myself, cause I have to eat more fruit!
