Is that sweater, or pair of booties a need? No. But we lose perspective. Trust me, I have, I do lose perspective on a daily basis. I was in my car driving home from dropping off the nuggets at school listening to my music. The car, music, is where I do a lot of worshipping! So if you ever see me driving with my hands in the air, I'm probably not waving, but worshipping my Savior :) So back to my experience that day. A song came on that I hadn't heard in a while and it just brought that reality to me of my need. My need for Jesus, my need for a Savior.
Part of what I hear from people who are not Christians is that we seem higher than thou. We're hypocrits. What they don't understand is that we don't feel like we're better than ANYONE. But we know that we are saved. We need saved. We don't have to worry about being imperfect, making mistakes, being sinners. God' grace has covered our sin. Jesus took our sin away on the cross. He can take away your sin too and make you a new creation. It's because of this I have hope. My hope rests in all of these things. I NEED Jesus.

Love this. My car is my place of worship in the mornings as well. It is very easy to lose sight of what is important in life.
