Where would I wear this casual look?  Errands, preschool drop off/pick up, shopping, weekday lunch.  This outfit is comfortable and casual chic.  The jacket adds layers, the flats are comfortable (last seen here), and the necklace and bag add a little punch of color.

Where would I wear this sexy look?  Dinner out with the hubs or drinks with girlfriends.  This look is functional and sexy.  The jacket (seen here) again adds layers, the heels add some fun, yet are still comfortable with a 3 1/2 heel (the highest I typically go).   I kept accessories at a minimum having my earrings and pumps be the highlights!

Mama Said Monday

Since my nuggets were fairly little (crawling and whatnot) it's been part of my momlosophy to let my kids get hurt to learn.  Ok, now don't go reporting me to child abuse hotline.  I'm not talking crazy hurt here (aka falling down the stairs, or burning themselves).  I'm talking about when they crawl under the table, stand up and bump their heads.  If you're constantly putting your hand against their head so they don't get a little bump, how else are they going to learn to duck?  There has to be balance and responsibility.  I don't coddle, but I LOVE my kids and LOVE on my kids.  They are hugged, kissed and told they are loved many times a day.  But coddling?  Nope, not here.  Life is tough and teaching that (a tiny bit at a time) is part of my job.
