Live in Philadelphia?
Join me and my personal stylist, Cashmere, for an evening of style
at the Simply Lulu Style event
J.Crew - King of Prussia
this Thursday, July 11th from 6-8 pm
There will be macaroons, drinks, and giveaways!
What is a style session at J.Crew? Read on and see how much fun it is to work with a personal stylist at J.Crew!
Before we began our session, Cashmere and I sat down to discuss my personal style, sizes, colors, and well... just chat! I asked her a few questions about styling, J.Crew, and what style can mean for you!
Q. What can someone expect from a style session?
A. I work with clients on building outfits to fit their style and life. I pull outfits putting together looks they might like, either from their current style, but also to challenge their style. We work together to tweak the looks so that it compliments their body, and makes them feel beautiful. My goal is to make looking great easy.
Q. What is a J.Crew Personal Stylist?
A. I work with customers in the store and specific clients on building outfits and their wardrobe. Once you become a client, I stay in contact with you to communicate new promotions and new merchandise. When we receive new arrivals I can schedule a style session pulling together looks specifically for you. I can order merchandise if we don't have it in the store and there is no shipping cost.
Q. What does this service cost?
A. There is no cost, it's complimentary!
Q. Why did you decide to become a stylist?
A. I had a realization at one point in my life that people need help getting dressed! I had some dear friends who went through some life changes and they needed help getting back to being a self assured, beautiful person. Part of making a positive change in your life is about self awareness. I call it "building confidence with compliments". So with my love for fashion and helping people, it led me to being a J.Crew Personal Stylist!
I have to say that working with Cashmere was so much fun. She knew me, my style, and my sizes (except for one pair of pants). It was a very personal experience and she treated me like royalty. I highly recommend the experience. If you live in the Philadelphia area, Cashmere is an excellent style resource!
Here are some snaps from our session!
The rack of clothes Cashmere pulled just for me!
Part of the style session is playing in the clothes and accessories. What necklace looks best?
We pulled this tunic (which I love) on me by cinching it with a belt and adding a great necklace. Cashmere, a great help in getting the necklaces on and off!
The finished look! Totally digging these shoes.
Here are the J.Crew lace & stripe mini wrap details.
Come back all week as I show you more of my style session, some fabulous summer to fall looks, and the details of the Simply Lulu Style event on Thursday! A special thank you to Cashmere for her wonderful effort and attention and to my awesome husband who was so patient and took fabulous photos so I can share them with you!

Oh I'd love to go there if I were in your area!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting to learn from a professional stylist. I am sure, even for us who deal with fashion and style every day this is a very rewarding and interesting session.

She put together an awesome look for you! She has a good eye for fashion. Sometimes it takes an outsider to look at us and give us a new perspective. I do a better job at dressing others than myself. Glad you had the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love the sparkly gold shoes with that cute tunic!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try a Personal Stylist at J.Crew! I've been tempted and now it looks like I should give it a go. Love those comfy looking flats.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! She did a great job styling you!

I love (!!!) and am tempted to imitate the top you're wearing with the striped skirt. Which altogether (with the jewel blue pumps) makes a striking outfit (your hair is my favorite accessory...). That must have been so fun. The striped dress with gold flats looks unselfconsciously classy.
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived in Philly! I would definitely stop by! What a fun event! I love the outfits you tried and can't wait to see the rest! You look so pretty Lulu! P.S. That second look is my favorite:))!
ReplyDeleteYou look Gorgeous both coming & going. Two great outfits. This Personal Shopper dressed you to a T - meaning she totally got your Style. Loving this event and your own photo inside a JCrew. =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a lot of fun! Of course who doesn't like to play dress up in jcrew?
