This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Sharpie, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #NeonSharpie  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO

Fall is a time when the weather starts to turn cooler, and here in the northeast, we typically get a lot of rain.  When you have 2 preschoolers, the question becomes: how to keep them busy!  So this past weekend when the rain was falling and we were stuck inside, I created a Halloween Treasure Hunt.  Perfect to get them excited for the holiday to come!

To make my treasure map pop, I picked up these bright and cheerful Neon Sharpie pens (wow, that's a tongue twister!) at Target. This vivid color is AH-mazing and I can't wait to use them again in more projects.  My Ella is already having a ball with them drawing on everything from paper, to plastic bottles, and wood (since my hubs is a woodworker).  This 5 pack of Neon Sharpie pens are perfect the nuggets since they are also non-toxic.  It makes mama happy!  Making me even happier is a 1$ off coupon (available while supplies last and in select stores) to purchase the 5 pack of Neon Sharpies from Target.  Click HERE for the coupon!

Since the nuggets don't read yet, I created the hunt, and places for them to pick up "treasure", using pictures.  For each place they visited, I had a sticky note of encouraging words and a little Halloween treat.  Each time Jack and Ella figured out the clue they would pick up a treat, come back to the map, and place the sticky next to that clue.  We would figure out the next clue together and off they'd run to get their next treat and sticky note.

Jack & Ella's outfit:  Mini Boden |  Crewcuts

At the end of the hunt they had to dig for their treasure in the washer, filled with clothes!  They each got a little velvet bag filled with gold doubloons (quarters) to add to their piggy banks or spend on a little something.
