Transform & Transition Your Wardrobe

shirt, Loft  |  coat, Ann Taylor  |  jeans, 7FAM  |  pumps, J.Crew (sold out, similar here & here)  |  bag, Michael Kors  |  sunnies, Prada (similar)  |  belt, J. Crew  |  necklace, J.Crew (sold out, similar here)  |  bracelet, J.Crew (in-store, loving this one)

Hello all.  I hope you had a lovely weekend.  Over the weekend I did some wardrobe planning.  Moving into the end of January and February I start thinking (and dreaming) of warmer weather.  Although I'd love one more really good snowfall, I'm thinking about spring and summer for my closet.  Here are three things I was considering this weekend during my closet overhaul!

1.  I start looking at pieces I can transform that I have previously bought this season.  You can find great pieces on sale right now (on THIS) post, but I like to utilize pieces I've already purchased.  It's great to go through your closet at the beginning of the year to clean out, store, or giveaway items that just aren't speaking to you anymore.  The outfit I'm wearing here is literally nothing new.  Reworking the sweater coat and adding a belt transforms the look.  See the sweater coat previously styled HERE & HERE.

2.  This type of sweater coat is beautiful because it can transition from a sweater with a heavier coat on top to a sweater coat when warmer weather comes (or that fluke warm day in January).

3.  I think about items I'd like to purchase for the spring.  I look at trends, save up, and make a priority list (needs & wants).  It's fun to plan and get inspired!  What's on your purchase list this spring?
