It seemed like this weekend time was an ever present thing on my mind. Mostly I was thinking how fast time goes by and how much we let it pass us by without being in the present. Being in the present is difficult isn't it? With all the gadgets and gizmos, it's easy to be distracted. This time of year it's important to be in the moment. With so many things to do, places to be, I'm working hard to be present. Thanksgiving and Christmas are times to enjoy, be enjoyed, and remembered.
A few things coincided this weekend to bring about these moments of time. First, my Nana celebrated her 100th birthday. What an accomplishment no? Unfortunately we did not get to celebrate it with her and I'm not sure that she even understood that it was her birthday. My Nana is a sweet, beautiful woman, with powder white hair. She always wore a smile on her face. On the other side of the spectrum, we celebrated a special time with our nuggets this weekend. Each year we give back to children who need hope. The nuggets, fill a shoebox with all kinds of goodies from candy, to books, and toothbrushes. We drop them off at a church around the corner to be sent around the world (check out their picture HERE). The drop off location was their preschool which we remember fondly. We visited their room and my lovely Ella and Jack reminisced on their time with Mrs. "R". Ella especially looked sad and I know she is bucking growing older. My little "Ella B" would stay a youngester forever if she could.
Time is a funny thing. Sometimes it feels like it moves so slowly and in other ways, it goes by too fast. You can feel like you have deja vu or day dream about things to come. Give someone the gift of time this season with a beautiful watch from Daniel Wellington. This Classic Sheffield rose gold watch is a stunner and there are so many beautiful options to choose from your special someone will love.
It's a short week :)! Here's to a beautiful day.

Yep! I have sometimes hard times staying present in now and not so much thinking about future.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, I almost never dwell about the past, but when it comes to future... I'm all about thinking about it and planning and whatsoever... Sometimes, I do need to really stop and remind myself to be in the present moment and be thankful for everything that I have now and everything I have achieved until now.
You look beautiful in this superb outfit! Love how you've styled it and the colours you've mixed in this outfit.

That is one gorgeous camel coat. Love the pink in it. Camel+Hot Pink are perfect together. I adore those leopard loafers too and beautiful print-mixing as usual, Lulu. You are one Stunning Mamma.

This is seriously the perfect outfit. I love the pink detail on your coat and how you tied it in with your purse. I would have never thought to layer a collared shirt under a turtleneck. Great inspiration! Time is a funny thing. I'm learning that if I am not intentional about anything in life, it passes without being spent the way I would like. DW makes the best stuff. I love my watch!
