Purpose - Part 2

I talked in a post last week about purpose, my purpose, and what lies ahead.  Many of you had such kind words and I thank you SO much for that.  My intention is not to quit blogging, but simply tweek or share the focus.  When I started blogging it looked very different in my mind that it's turned out to be.  Over the months it turned out to be "just another fashion blog".  Not that fashion blogs are not great and I love getting inspired by them too.  But while I love fashion and will continue to post outfits and styles I adore, you will start to see more from Simply Lulu Style.  My style starts with my faith and love for Christ.  He gave me my artistic eye, my creative juices, and everything that makes up me!  So, I will be sharing more of my thoughts and struggles as I journey through this life.

Sometimes I think that blogging is a way for people to say, "hey look at my great life".  And while I LOVE my life and my family, that does not mean it is without struggles and heart ache (I shared this story 2 years ago).  As I share my thoughts they are not meant to be an oh woowez me, but rather to say I'm going through this journey too!  It is about the journey and how we experience it.

I'm still not certain why I started blogging.  I mean I know in my head why I did, but why did God put that thought there.  There is ultimately a reason because I don't believe in chance.  Maybe to just inspire others?  But somehow that seems too large scale, too obvious.  One thing to know about me is that I like to KNOW!  I'm not good at the unknown, the I don't know, the... well the answer will come in time.  Just give me the facts, the low down, the straight talk, and I'm good.  But, there it is. This thing hanging out there that I don't have an answer for.  I know that God is using me, it's in his control, and well since he created me and EVERYTHING, he pretty much can do what he wants.  I'm happy to be his instrument.  For I was created in the right time, the right place, to know and love him (Acts 17:26).

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

      -Jeremiah 29:11

Here's to a hope and a future.  Thanks for reading.  To see more of Simply Lulu sign up for the SLS newsletter!  Love and inspiration sent directly to your inbox :)

  2. Thanks for sharing! I just read your old post about your miscarriages, IVF, and resulting twins. I recently shared on Instagram that my husband and I are experiencing fertility issues ourselves. The response from blog friends has been so amazing. Although difficult, this time in life has also been really neat for my faith. It's been so cool to connect with other bloggers. I too always wonder what to share, how to share it, and whether or not my blog should be more than fashion. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
