Annie Sloan paint is amazing (I can't believe I have just found it!) and has me hooked on refinishing furniture. I typically hate painting (walls, molding - which by the way I still have sooo much to do in my house), but this type of painting is so relaxing. It really allows me to slow down and be creative!
This is my first piece for sale! This is a vintage dresser with 4 drawers, 2 small upper and 2 large bottom drawers perfect for sweaters and other large pieces. The mirror is detachable and adjustable. This piece was painted with Annie Sloan, French Linen paint. A white wax was applied with a touch of black wax and also distressed with black wax to give it a little driftwood finish. A glaze was applied to some of the detailed wood work. The hardware is original and been polished/cleaned.
I have staged the dresser with a few pieces that are a sneak peek of what is to come from my project with Laura! Be sure to follow The Backdoor Furnishings on Facebook and Instagram for announcements, project ideas and classes she offers on painting and waxing.
Are you or someone you know interested in this beautiful dresser :)? I'm offering it for sale for $450. It can be delivered it up to 50 miles from Pittsburgh.
Thanks for stopping by!
