It's hard to believe that "summer" is over (well pretty much). My kiddos will be going back to school soon and the days of no schedules is done until Christmas break. Let me say we've had an awesome summer. But, my husband and I realized that our time is precious and our kids won't stop growing! (haha, of course not). We need to be more present and decided on some changes. As I mentioned in this post we chose a family Bible verse. I picked 4, and we all voted on them. This is what we chose:
Be humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
~Ephesians 4:2
Another thing I've always wanted to do was to create a summer bucket list. We had quite a few things on our list and have gotten to almost all of them (see my Instagram for all the fun)! This week we crossed off 2 things so far - visiting the best voted pizza in PA (Mineo's in Mt. Lebanon) and going to the zoo. Instead of traveling to the larger Pittsburgh zoo, we chose to go to a smaller, more intimate zoo called Living Treasures. We had a wonderful time spying on the flamingos, lions and giraffes. So with most of our bucket list crossed off, school will start next week!
Honestly I relish summer, and I relish them going back to school. I'm a person of organization, schedules and being a true introvert, having time to myself. I absolutely love my kids and they are the best, but they are ready to be back in school. When we received these backpacks from Garnet Hill they got super excited for school to start. They are awesome and come with a matching insulated lunch bag. There is a buckle across the front to keep the backpack secure, multiple zippers to organize all their items and padded straps. Don't you love the patterns? And you can have them personalized :).

So I have big plans for when I have more "free" time with the kiddos in school. I have some house projects to work on, clothes to sell (more on this in the coming weeks) and recipes to try - Yum! I am excited to share with you all of these plans, it's just a little tid bits into my life.
Thanks for stopping by, have a beautiful weekend!
