Life & Summer Round Up

Hello!  Wow, it seems like forever since I've written a blog post!  We had quite a year.  It was exciting, stressful and lots and lots of changes.  If you are new to my blog we moved last summer from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh (my hometown).  It was a great move, but any change is difficult.  After finally finding the right house, my kids starting at a wonderful school, we finally got settled.  At the end of March I rebranded from Simply Lulu Style to The Laurel Lane.  My blog needed to grow up :)

This summer I needed a break, but I also wanted to relish this summer with my nuggets.  They will be nine next month and the years just seem to keep going by faster and faster.  This summer was important for us to spend time together as a family, taking each moment in the present.  We created a family moto, chose a family Bible verse and a summer bucket list.  We really had a great, wonderful summer!

This picture above was taken in my happy place - Martha's Vineyard.  It's magical, family friendly and well, I love it.  My son Jack actually took this picture of me after one of our many dinners by the Edgartown Harbor.  Bell sleeves have been such a hot trend this summer and this gorgeous off the shoulder, bell sleeve top is now 60% off!  Find the rest of these outfit details here:

Our annual summer family picture.  We are quite acrobatic when taking these pictures.  My husband is a pro with the self timer and we gerry rig the camera on our beach wagon!  One year some gracious person took the pictures for us but unfortunately the pictures were terrible!  So we had to retake them. :(   More of our summer fun at the vineyard below.
