A new year means new goals, new dreams and all new to-do lists! Being in shape has always been something I strive for. Since I was little I have been active. As a competitive gymnast for 11 years I know how to work hard. But as I've gotten older and aches and pains are the norm, it's hard to be motivated sometimes. What I've learned is to do my best. Don't be so hard on myself. Make time to work out, but don't be guilt ridden when I don't.

I'll be honest I do NOT work out every day. I don't like to, my body needs breaks and I don't feel like I really need to. I'm active around the house even when I don't work out.
This year I will be sharing more of my workouts, more of what I'm eating (or not eating) and just being more healthy. I do NOT diet. I don't do no carbs, no sugar, no pizza! Man, I love pizza. I just can't. BUT I DO limit these foods. Everything in moderation (with the exception of non-food items - aspartame, sucralose, etc.). In September I had a physical issue that made me realize I needed to completely cut these fake sugars out of my diet. I will talk about that later.
Now I am NOT a nutritionist or a trainer. These thoughts and opinions are my own. I really feel like with any exercise and healthy eating... it needs to be your own. Find out what works for you. Be healthy. Be fit. BUT BE. YOUR. OWN. Be you!
