Christmas Traditions

My family has many Christmas traditions.  I shared one with you this week when we cut our Christmas tree down the day after Thanksgiving.  In this picture we are visiting Longwood Gardens, a beautiful estate once owned by the Dupont family.  It's decorated to the "nines" for Christmas and it's like a little holiday fairy land.

Another tradition, started by my mother, is an ornament collection.  This is not a collection like scary dolls on a dusty shelf.... Each year my mom would buy me and my sister a beautiful ornament to add to our family tree.  Once my sister and I were married my mom handed us our ornament boxes to decorate our own family trees.  It's a beautiful tradition that I'm now starting with my nuggets.
I love traditions.  It gives you something to look forward to and creates beautiful memories of wonderful times with your family.  I hope you can create some new traditions with your family this Christmas season.

25 days until Christmas.... What are you planning?

Silly story:  Jack every night before bed has been asking when Santa is coming.  Because our house is decorated he thinks every day is Christmas!  It's hard to explain time to a 4 year old....  So I told him that Santa is at the North Pole making his toy presents.  His response, "well... when's he going to be done?".....

simply yours,
XO - Lulu
