I love embracing trends... to a point.  I've learned that I have to take a trend and incorporate it into my style and wardrobe that fits me.  My style is typically chic preppy and I like to mix trends with classic pieces. The black and white trend is hot the season along with stripes!  Don't you love how this sweater incorporates both?  The jacket I actually picked up at Christmas time and haven't had the perfect outfit to "blog it".  I think it was waiting for this moment!  My classic piece to balance out the trend?  Classic pearls!

Latest nugget story:
Yesterday was President's Day and my hubs had the day off.  So nice!  We had a good day, some chores (laundry - yeah..), but mostly enjoying time together.  As I was giving my nugs their lunch Jack asked for more milk.  Our conversation went something like this:
Jack, "Mamma, I need more milk."
Me, "Please may I have more milk?"
Jack, "Peeese!"
Me, "Here ya go bud."
Jack (taking the milk, no response)
Me, "Say thank you."
Jack, "Thank you... and Merry Christmas!"

    I love this outfit! That sweater is so adorable! I agree with Jack! It should be Christmas year round :) Also, I didn't realize your sons name is Jack...I love that name! It's my grandpas name (well, his name is Edwin Jacques Wylie but everyone calls him Jack) and my husband and I have talked about, if we have a boy, naming him Jack.
