A Warm Get Away

To say this was a relaxing and much needed vacation is an understatement.  We had a fantastic time!  Keep reading for details and snaps, of course!

Most mornings we would wake up (I'd like to say leisurely, but not when you have 4 year olds), putz around a bit and then take the golf cart to the "Chef's Cupboard" for some donuts, croissants (my fav), and coffee.

We'd eat our yummy treats on the veranda enjoying the sunshine and warmth.

After breakfast we'd head to the playground, behind the club overlooking the bay.  The nuggets would have a ball and the adults got to enjoy the view.

Once the nugs were done at the playground we headed to the beach for sandcastles, shelling, and running in the waves.  The beach is pretty much empty so Jack and Ella could run wild... and they did!

Afternoon's we'd take the golf cart again to "tea" (aka margaritas), cookies, gold fish, and crackers at the clubhouse.  Dinner time was leisurely, ordering in.  This picture is from a night we attempted to go to the dog show.  The nuggets didn't last long.

As you can see from the smiles on their faces, they had a great time.  When it was time to leave I felt very sad.  It was our last trip to Mimi's house (who passed away in October).  The house sold and we were blessed to have a week to enjoy the house, beach, and club.   We made some wonderful memories and now I'm looking forward to our summer vacation!  See my other Florida trip here!
