My Hubs and I recently watched the movie. I just love a good James Bond movie and this one was no different. The best part? The old James Bond theme song played in it which was my floor routine music in gymnastics! It brought back some great memories!
This is a great album. If you don't know Brit Nicole she is a wonderful Christian singer. Her new song "Gold" is awesome. Every time I hear it I want to get up and dance. But the best part are the lyrics, here is the chorus:
This, this is for all the girls, boys all over the world
whatever you've been told, you're worth more than gold
so hold your head up high, it's your time to shine
from the inside it shows, you're worth more than gold.
I just started drinking coffee last year... I know, I'm behind the times. But I also noticed that my teeth were losing their "whiteness". I have used Crest white strips in the past and not really enjoyed the process. The strip would fall off my teeth! However I was pleasantly surprised with their new advance seal because it REALLY sticks to your teeth! Whiter smile here I come!
Gorgeous right? This was our view from the main house in Florida. I will so miss this place.
Madeline Cookies. Since we were down at our Mimi's house I thought I would pay tribute to her with her favorite cookie this week. This is such a delicate French cookie. The batter is just beautiful when you make it and the taste is wonderfully simple.
Madeline Cookie Recipe:
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 1/4 stick of butter
- pinch of salt
- few drops of vanilla
- grated peel of half a lemon
- few drops of lemon juice
Place all the butter into a small saucepan over medium heat and brown, being careful not to burn it. (Whirl pan a few times to keep from burning, cook until all the white is gone.) In the meantime whisk eggs in a large bowl with sugar, add flour and mix until all incorporated. Add grated lemon peel, lemon juice, vanilla and salt. Add the melted butter into the batter and mix well Fill cookie forms with batter and cook at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes, until edges are brown.
Place 1 Tbs. of flour into a small dish with 2 Tbs. of melted butter, mix well. Use this with a pastry brush, dabbing it in the Madeline pan to prevent cookies from sticking.
*Tip: I refrigerate dough for 10 minutes before filling the cookie forms. It's easier to fill the cookie forms!
I have a major sweet tooth so those cookies look yummy!
