My "new" old vanity! This was an old letter desk of my great grandmothers. It had perfect spots for drawers (which my oh so talented husband made). I designed the drawers with mirror fronts and crystal knobs for some sparkle. What girl doesn't like some sparkle! The stool is a nice modern touch and it's big and deep enough to store all my hair tools (dryer, straightener, irons etc.) So my cosmetics are organized and all the tools are stored away from sight.
This is the book I've been reading to the nuggets as their bedtime story. It's a simple and calming book, and the illustrations are just beautiful.
I read this in a magazine, an article on Valerie Harper. I actually didn't read the entire article, it's a sad story. But I liked these "rules" to live by.
This beautiful china setting was something (along with some fabulous antique furniture) we inherited from my hubs Mimi. I'm anxious to use it for our next holiday dinner!
A recipe of course! This delicious, easy and good-for-you recipe is a go to in our house. Since broccoli is always available we eat it often!
I hope you enjoy my Love List this week - what are some of your loves?
Those are some good rules to live by. I think being more focused on the present can be hard, we often look back or are so busy looking ahead. Most of us never just stop to live in this moment that we have now.

DeleteLove the vanity! Your style is so classic and fresh.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty much exactly how I make my broccoli. Except we have to take out the cheese when we're counting calories. :)

Oh parm cheese doesn't add that many calories. We only put maybe a tablespoon on anyway :)
DeleteI'll have to try that recipe. Looks good!

Super yummy, super easy!
DeleteLove this plate design. Has a shabby chic vintage feel. I actually have a huge collection of vintage plates and teacups that I love to use whenever I throw tea parties, showers, etc. I do the whole mix and match concept. Can't wait to see how you use your beautiful plates.
