Lulu's Love List

Every time I serve this to guests, they love it.  Eat it as an appetizer or a side to a main dish.  It's hearty and delicious!

Ingredients:
  • small onion
  • 6 tomatoes - I use "on the vine"
  • 1 or 2 red peppers (depending on how large)
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • feta cheese
  • basil
  • balsamic glaze (you can make it, I prefer to buy it... easier)
  • olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
Prepare all ingredients.  Cut the onion in a small pieces.  Before you dice up the tomatoes cut them in half & scoop out the "guts".  Chop red pepper and garlic clove.  Make sure to chop the garlic clove into TINY pieces.  No one wants to chomp down on a big piece of garlic!  Mix tomato, red pepper, onion, garlic into a bowl.  Add just a touch of olive oil, too much will make it shlopy (yes, it's a word).  Wait until you're almost ready to serve before adding the basil.  I serve the mixture on grilled ciabatta bread.  Before I grill the bread, I sprinkle it with olive, salt & pepper.  While bread is grilling add the basil to the tomato mixture.  After bread is finished, place the tomato mixture on top, sprinkle with feta cheese, and drizzle with the balsamic glaze.  Yum!

A great and inexpensive self tanner.  Spending too much time in the sun is not a good idea.  Tomorrow see my tips for applying a self tanner to look natural!

I love to have fresh herbs.  Especially during the summer when we entertain... A LOT!  Incorporating herbs with flowers is a natural and lovely look.  These were just planted, so as the summer continues, they will grow and look even more amazing!

Really Lulu?  Listerine on your Love List?  YES!  This is a super easy way to whiten your teeth.  A little swoosh, swoosh twice a day and I'm telling you, you'll see a difference.

Over the weekend we went to a great place for brunch.  It's special to me because my hubs and I had brunch there the day before I had the twins.  I remember it very well because I was SO uncomfortable.  I can only imagine what people where thinking, "that girl looks like she is going to pop!"  And I did... that night!

Linking up with Hooah & Hiccups & Get Your Pretty On today!

 Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  5. I'm a pale, pale redhead with freckles and have been looking for a good natural-looking self-tanner. I heard a commercial for the Jergens on tv today and they said there is no smell. Have you found this to be true?
