When I saw this FEED bag I fell in love. Not only only is it super cute, but it's a wonderful mission. With the purchase of this crossbody bag (just $25!), it gave 20 meals to people in need. How awesome is that!
FEED is a global company whose product sales go toward meals for the hungry. This amazing company was co-founded by the beautiful Lauren Bush in 2006 and to date has donated 60 million meals across the globe. Now the company is partnering with Target for FEED USA. I think this FEED bag will definitely make my Love List this week. Check out my other Lulu's Love Lists!
Mama Said Monday
Being Thankful
To coordinate with today and sharing the FEED project, I thought I would talk about being thankful. It's something I try to live by and teach my children. There are so many things to be thankful for, especially this week... our freedom! In a country of bounty, we forget how blessed we truly are. From the food in our pantry, to the house we have, and cars we drive. Each day before my nuggets hit the hay, in their comfy, warm beds (another thing to be thankful for) I ask them what they are thankful for that day. Now since their 4, I get everything from flowers, to Iron Man, and candy. But it's not what they are saying at this point, it's a state-of-mind I want them to learn.
Just a few more days in the J.Crew gift card GIVEAWAY!
I hope you had a great weekend and have a simply beautiful day!

I had no idea that the FEED bag was at Target! Oh no, just what I need, another excuse to go to Target and find things I really, really need.. and a million I didn't know I possibly did! I love how you are teaching your kids to think about each day in a positive manner. Although mine are older, I think it would be a wonderful thing to do. We used to do something similar (3 things that made you happy) but we sort of did it for a while and never made it a habit. Thanks for the reminder!! It's a great way to keep positivity in our lives!

Hi. Regular follower of you blog. We recently remodeled our kitchen and I am shopping for counter bar stools. Can I ask about your own stools? Wicker? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI didn't make it to Target yesterday - but I ordered that bag in the Denim and a FEED baseball jersey. Can't wait to get them. I loved the orange too.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute. I love the way Lauren Bush is expanding the brand.
ReplyDeleteLove the FEED mission. It's amazing how little it takes to make a difference.

You look great. I've always loved this casual look. A modern "Out Of Africa" vibe. And the bag is cute for sure...what a great idea.
ReplyDeleteYou're right; there is so much to be grateful for. And ironically, when we take the time to recount our blessings, we wind up being much happier...more to be grateful for.
I almost picked that up at Target tonight! Now I'm regretting not doing it. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThose pants are my fav! I have a pair that's why!
