I have had this outfit in mind for several weeks.  This Madewell skirt is so versatile, it's a perfect summer staple (last seen in this Dress Up/Dress Down post).  I pondered the purchase of this J.Crew jean jacket for a few days, but I'm so glad I did!  Don't you just love when you make an awesome purchase!  It's so soft and comfortable.  It will be a perfect layering piece on our New England vacation (in just a few weeks!!).  The necklace adds just a little bit of sparkle which every outfit deserves.

So I have a dentist appointment today.  Not a big fan of the dentist.  But now of course when I have kids I have to pretend going to the dentist is no big deal.  This isn't a cleaning, no, it's filling time.  However, I practice extremely good oral hygiene and so it's not a new cavity. Apparently fillings shrink over time (who knew), and well "stuff" gets into the cracks and the filling needs to be replaced.  This is the reason for my dental visit today.  And since I haven't had a cavity in... well... over ten years, I have to say I'm a little nervous.   But hopefully I won't have any more in the next 10 years.  Here's to good oral hygiene!

    This skirt is by far the most versatile in my closet! I love how it so easily dresses up and down. And in my opinion, a jean jacket is always a good idea ;) you look lovely!

    I never thought to button my denim jacket-- I've seen it done on several occasions recently, and I think it looks really great. I might just have to copy this outfit :)

    Love this look! The skirt and denim jacket look great together. And your necklace is fabulous! Also, I despise going to the dentist too. I have only had 1 cavity but I just hate all those nasty tasting metal in my mouth and then my jaw usually is sore... Yuck. Hope it wasn't too bad
