My King

This week has been rough.  Both the nuggets and I are sick.  Yesterday I spent most of the day lounging on the sofa, head pounding, body aching.  Last night my prescription was early to bed.  The first Thursday of each month I've been devoting the blog to an emotional and spiritual inspirational post.  Last night, nothing... was coming to me.  My mind was blank, my emotions gone.  I was spent.  This morning I had to get some things accomplished, because nothing was accomplished yesterday.  As I drove in my car I was listening to the same radio station that plays every single day, K-Love.  Kari Jobe's new song came on the radio "Forever" and tears began to stream down my face.  I felt the Lord leading me to share it with you today.  In my adult life I try to listen to the Lord more; let Him lead me.  I don't always hear Him clearly, but when I do I have more conviction to share His love.  I pray for those around me and I thank Him for the incredible things that He has done.  I know I'm a little late in getting this out, but God's timing is perfect.  So I hope you'll read the lyrics to "Forever" and let them sink into your heart.  God loves you!  He sent his perfect Son to die on a cross for YOU.  Death is not the end.  If we choose Jesus, if we choose to let his love into our hearts we, will live forever with Him, in the most glorious place.

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Saviour of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon him

One final breath he gave
As heaven looked away
The son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
his perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever he is glorified
Forever he is lifted high
Forever he is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
his perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever he is glorified
Forever he is lifted high
Forever he is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Forever he is glorified
Forever he is lifted high
Forever he is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

You have overcome
You have overcome
You have overcome
You have overcome

When we're all gone from this earth, I hope to see you in heaven.  Will you let Jesus into your heart today?
With much love,
xo Lulu

  2. You have overcome, you have overcome - amazing words, all of the song of course, but these ones really touched my heart on a very personal level - about death. I think timing was perfect for me as well, to read your post now. I thank you so much for that and I hope you feel better today, since you weren't feeling well yesterday. And I hope your kids are well now, too! In heaven I hope to meet many of my beloved ones - I don't want to fast forward anything, but that is one of my biggest dreams - and when it happens, hopefully we can say hi as well :) But as you said, it's not about our timing - so let's go on praying and at the same time, enjoying some time down here, as long as it is planned!
