Are you guys as excited for Christmas as I am??? I actually started playing Christmas music yesterday :) The last two years have been pretty difficult with moving out of our old house and then last year moving into our new house. I wasn't settled last year and I just wasn't up for decorating. Of course I did reluctantly because I would never hear the end of it from my kiddos. One tradition that we've had to change since moving is getting our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. It was something my family did when I was little and I just loved it. I looked forward to it every year. We started it with the twins because we would stay home for Thanksgiving (when we lived in Philadelphia). Now that we're in Pittsburgh, we still go to Philly for Thanksgiving, so we're not home and driving across the state with a tree on the top of my truck is not a great idea - haha.
BUT! This year, I'm going to start decorating next week! :) Eeek! I'm so excited, can you tell? We're even hosting Christmas dinner this year. So I've been on a mission to get the house ready!
I was super excited to see the awesome Christmas decor from Hearth & Hand (the Gaines gang) at Target. Super cute things, all neutral & beautiful. And am I the only one in love with buffalo check this season? This is my favorite home decor shop on Etsy. She has THE most beautiful pillows friends. You need to check her out. Of course my other favorite retailer for... well... just about everything they sell is Nordstrom. These candles would add such a glam touch to your holiday or a perfect gift! Their holiday home collections are gorgeous.
These are my picks today for the neutral Christmas home. I haven't quite decided how I'm going to decorate this year. Honestly I do not, nor do I wish to buy all new holiday decor. Frankly it's just not practical. But I think I probably will do some tweaking. You can stay tuned to my Instagram for more :)
